Fire2Fission was born from a simple observation in the oil fields: industry needs better power solutions. While managing frac operations in New Mexico, our team undertook a comprehensive analysis of power alternatives—from solar panels and wind turbines to geothermal wells and traditional fuels. The results were clear: dual fuel engines and advanced nuclear technologies held the key to industry's energy future. This insight transformed our perspective on industrial power generation. Years of hands-on experience had shown us the tremendous value of traditional energy sources, but it also revealed the potential for something more efficient.
Today, we're building on that vision, developing strategic natural gas solutions that address immediate power needs while simultaneously advancing the integration of advanced nuclear technologies. True to our name, we're working to bridge the gap between traditional and future power generation—from fire to fission.

Blane Thingelstad has 21 years of oil and gas experience range from Deepwater Gulf of Mexico to the early days in the shale play revolution. His shale career began with Enerplus Resources on the already proven Montana Bakken, and then later used those learnings in Montana to optimize the much larger Bakken resource in North Dakota.

Camille Thompson is an Energy Engineer at Fire2Fission where she helps drive the commercial and technical backbone of power generation projects. Her work ranges from financial modeling and project economics to vendor relationships and technical systems analysis. Her contributions to Fire2Fission and our clients have advanced project execution capabilities and guaranteed accurate data capture during drilling operations. She is versatile and eager to learn, always ready to jump into whatever a project needs. Her intrinsic curiosity and high attention to detail makes her equally comfortable troubleshooting a cost model and asking critical questions to uncover potential failures during operations. Camille holds a BS in Environmental Engineering with a minor in Energy Engineering from CU Boulder.

Mann Dubey is a Design Engineer at Fire2Fission, where he built the company's in-house design engineering workflow from the ground up, running first-principles analysis, systems engineering, energy project package delivery, CAD, PFDs, and P&IDs for natural gas power generation systems. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in Aerospace Engineering from CU Boulder. Before Fire2Fission he flew small sats, sounding rockets, and led design and manufacturing for Formula SAE vehicles . Mann treats engineering like a full-contact sport: fast, curious, ridiculously hands-on, and always three questions ahead, ready to geek out over turbine curves, cost models, and orbital mechanics in the same breath.

Michael H. supports Fire2Fission’s customers by helping them access dependable, high‑capacity power solutions tailored to fast‑growing operations. He specializes in guiding organizations through the process of evaluating, selecting, and deploying multi‑megawatt generation systems that reduce risk and unlock expansion. Michael builds long‑term relationships across data center, industrial, and infrastructure markets, ensuring clients have the power they need to scale with confidence.

Mark Hinaman, P.E., is passionate about producing energy for America and the world. He began his career working with his hands as a teenager in the natural gas fields and a coal mine in northwest Colorado. After studying engineering, he worked in a myriad of technical and project management roles spanning multiple states and all engineering disciplines in the upstream oil and gas industry. This well-rounded experience gave Mark the unique opportunity to act as a founding member of Franklin Mountain Energy, where he managed 40% of the annual capital budget and helped grow the company's production from 500 bopd to 50,000 bopd in less than three years and leading to the eventual sale of the company for $2.5B.

David Gagne is an accomplished Army Combat Engineer Officer, with exceptional expertise in engineering operations, logistical planning, and combat support. Gagne’s technical acumen includes proficiency in global logistics operations and strategic planning along with advanced training in advising and leadership theory, Gagne has consistently ensured that mission requirements were met in even the most challenging environments.
